I’ve always been drawn to the most interesting and difficult challenges. Roles in high-tech startups honed my practical skills, which are as important in solving writing problems as they are in solving operational ones. Writing on diverse subjects stretches my mind. My nonfiction strives to create a clear, coherent picture from complex details. My fiction uses the language of the heart, with an abiding regard for courage in the face of adversity.

I write for the thoughtful person who is curious about the world and who wants to understand the workings of complex things.

My books include a fictional biography of the English writer Jane Austen; a high-tech book with Bill Gates; and other diverse, compelling topics in between: the brain; the revolution of mobile devices; the retail industry in the digital age; and the importance of corporate values.
